Brief description or excerpt to be included in message:
Why Remember Hiroshima is the preface to Toby Lurie's book-length poem, Hiroshima: A Symphonic Elegy for Spoken Voices. The preface explores the spiral of historical forces and human weaknesses that came together in the creation and use of the first atomic bomb. Thinking about the suffering of the Hiroshima victims might prevent another nuclear war.
